Swollen Gums Not Just A Gum Disease
Commonly, gum disease or gum infection is being manifested with bleeding and swollen gums. However, not at all times that there is a presence of swollen gums, gum disease is a culprit. Certain medical conditions can be manifested by swollen gums. Swollen gums occur because of poor oral care, bacteria is allowed to progress making the mouth as their niche. When gums are swollen certain conditions such as bleeding, receding gums follow. They start to progress into periodontal disease and may result to eventual loss of tooth. Swollen gums are being indicated by red gums, teeth appears to be longer and loose. Certain medical conditions can cause the occurrence of swollen gums. Thus it is necessary to see a dental care expert for proper diagnosis and treatments.
